Fundraising $5 million dollars in 5 years, engaging over 95,000 fundraisers from over 100 countries, inspiring over 56,000 donors and creating a movement of people willing to stand up and say no to violence, Kylie has helped the Polished Man gain mass global support.
Simon is the Co-Founder and CEO of Who Gives A Crap, a toilet paper company that uses 50% of its profits to build toilets in the developing world. To date Simon and his team have donated $1.8 million and at Change the World he’s going to be sharing the best lessons he learnt marketing a cause online. Simon was recognised by The Age’s Melbourne Magazine as one of Melbourne’s Top 100 Most Influential People.
After losing her newborn son Riley to whooping cough in 2015, Catherine has become a passionate online immunisation advocate and has raised more than $70,000 for research, instigated the donation of more than 150,000 vaccines to children in developing countries. Her Facebook Page has nearly 120,000 followers and she is now passionate about sharing her lessons learnt from when things go right, and wrong in a social media world.
Alecia is an entrepreneur, educator, founder of the Change the World event and director of Hancock Creative. She has published hundreds of articles, created award-winning social media campaigns, and is a sought-after speaker and not for profit trainer. Alecia was chosen as one of WA’s most influential people in business by NIFNEX, and her business was named Telstra Micro Business of the Year WA 2017, and won a national web award for Social Media Campaign of the Year in 2016.
Alison has provided training, strategic direction, and crisis support for large and small not for profits and causes through to large multinational brands like Volkswagen, Carefree, Zyrtec and Extra. She also consulted on television personality Tracey Spicer’s book launch and with high-profile financial advisor and media personality the Barefoot Investor. She is a blogging Ambassador for World Vision Australia and a foundation sponsor of Bedo Ki Gen.
Gareth is a social media educator and mentor with a strong background in marketing and coaching. Before starting his own business, he developed and ran the social media training program at Isentia, designing and delivering digital training courses for some of Australia’s largest organisations. His clients have included the likes of PwC, as well as State and Federal Government agencies in both Australia and New Zealand.
Richard is a young entrepreneur and investor and was recently named one of Start-up Daily’s Top 3 Emerging Leaders in Australia. Since leaving school at the age of 16, Richard has led multi-million dollar education businesses The Entourage and Unfiltered. He also has investments in six high-growth businesses and sits on advisory boards for businesses around the world.

Definitely not. You’ve never been to an event like this. There will be pumping music, plenty of laughs, loads of free stuff, heaps of inspiration, and sometimes even a few tears.
This is an event for people who seriously want to change the world, and it is unlike any training event you’ve ever been to. You will leave with your head buzzing with ideas and a heart full of passion.
Absolutely, totally, 100% free. This is our way to give back to the community on a large scale, and tickets to this will always be free.
What we have done with the events this time is given our loyal Change The World supporters the opportunity to make these days happen, so there is now an option to contribute towards the cost of your ticket. You can pay $1 or $1000 – the choice is completely yours! There is no pressure at all to contribute and you can come along 100% free of charge as per previous events if you want. What we will promise though is some amazing surprises on the day for those that help us to put these fantastic events on.
Speakers may bring along books they’ve published, and they may be available on the day to buy for anyone chasing them.
A limited number of VIP tickets will be available before the event day, for people who want to upgrade to front row seating, lunch included, a goodie bag and a chance to meet the speakers.
Great question, and we’re so glad you asked. There is no catch. Nobody will be selling you anything at all!!! This is our way to give back to the cause sector on a large scale, consider this a way to seriously scale our pro bono hours for the year.
We figure if you love what we do enough, you’ll come and find us when you’re ready to get some more social media help.
Even better, there will be a $7500 training grant available for attendees. Alecia will briefly talk you through this, and let you know how you can apply for it after Change the World is over.

Definitely. We encourage you to bring along a decision maker like a director or CEO, because we hope they’ll get as excited about marketing as we are.
Of course, seat numbers are limited so if everybody in your office registers and we have a wait list, we may ask you nicely to reconsider if everybody needs to be there. 😉
Nope. There are a strictly limited number of seats, so you need to register before the event day. Once the event is full, we will close registrations, and you don’t want to miss out.
We don’t release the agenda for the day, and that’s for a really simple reason. This event is super expensive to put on (it costs about $200 per person), and our speakers fly from all around the country to be there, so we want to make sure everyone that registers uses their ticket for the full day.
Otherwise, someone else might miss out on a seat while someone else only comes along to see one person.
Besides, we know every speaker is so awesome, you’ll truly want to be there for every single one. We’re investing in you.
There is an array of cafes and shops nearby on Clarendon Street to grab a bite to eat, or feel free to bring it along.
There is parking available within the vicinity of the venue and the York St/Clarendon St Light Rail Station (Tram 12) is just down the road.
Yourself, and any decision makers at your organisation that you want to inspire with marketing brilliance. We’ll give you a notebook and a pen, but feel free to bring your own notebook (if you take heaps of notes, you’ll run out of space!), or your laptop or tablet.
Definitely bring your smart phone as we’ll be encouraging you to get social throughout the day.
